Claudia Florian-McCaffrey is originally from Argentina. She now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children. Her love for teaching draws from her professional training in dance, yoga, meditation and motherhood.
To observe Claudia is to watch art in motion. Her elegance, vibrancy and passion are visible in all that she teaches. Her strength lies in the ability to elicit beauty and perfection inherent in each individual. To this end, she teaches people how to move with intention from the inside out – taking the utmost care, while at the same time bringing forth an innate joy for life.
Claudia was trained in yoga by leading yoga teachers – Noah Maze, Jim Baernart, Sianna Sherman, Abby Tucker and Jane Austin. She deepened her knowledge of the philosophy of yoga with Carlos Pomeda. Her work has also been influenced by the Laban Movement Analysis, Feldenkrais Method, the Alexander Technique and Pilates. She has been trained in the use of therapeutic adjustments, movement analysis and relaxation techniques to heal people suffering from chronic pain.
After giving birth to two boys, Claudia understood that the fear of giving birth was unnecessary. By learning to relax and calm the mind and body, mothers could approach birth with ease and confidence. In 2005, she began to specialize in prenatal and postnatal yoga, using breathing and stretching techniques to prepare mothers for the natural process of childbirth.
Claudia is certified in prenatal yoga, Infant Massage, a Reiki Master and a Childbirth Educator in HypnoBirthing®.Read Claudia's Dance Bio
